"Having listened to Iain Wallis on January 9th at Belfast Property Meet I realised I hadn't been claiming my wear and tear allowance on my portfolio. The information I got that night reduced my taxable income by £15,000 and reduced my tax liability by £5600. Well worth the entry fee. Chris & Stuart do a great job hosting the event. I would recommend you go along."

The Belfast Property Meet has a permanent place in my calendar. This is a must for keeping me informed of developments, but more importantly keeping in touch with like minded people who are interested in property investment.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris and Mary Selwood and of course Stuart Nicholls from Belfast Property Meet for their help and support in the last few years.
I first met Chris three years ago at a breakfast meeting. When I spoke to Chris he explained what he did and how he managed and invested in property. As I got to talk to Chris more I opened up to him as I believed he was sincere and honest. He told me of the good times as well as the hard times throughout his investing in property. He told me I could retire within 12 to 18 months if I started to invest in property more as I had some capital in the bank that was earning little or no interest and already owned 6 properties. This was something I was hoping to do but lacked confidence and also had concerns about debt. I have since learnt owning money on property is not the same as owing money on a credit card and that you can earn more by using the banks money instead of your own.
I attended Belfast Property Meet from the beginning and over that time I have learnt so much from the guest speakers on how to manage my properties, how to save on tax and what I was legally entitled to claim for in my tax return (you can even claim the cost of the meeting and traveling mileage as a legitimate cost as the guest speaker often provides guidance on different issues and this is an educational lesson therefore claimable under training).
Since meeting Chris and Stuart, I am able to ask any question which they will answer and give me good advice without any hesitation. I have found their knowledge invaluable.
Earlier I said Chris said I could retire in 12 to 18 months, something most people would be sceptical about. In reality I could retire today if I wished as I have increased my properties to well over twenty properties, all in positive cash flow, but when you enjoy doing what you do it is no longer work.

I showed that couple the house and they are going to take it. thanks very much. They move in on Wednesday.
They're lovely, as you said, and there should not be too many problems with them. I hope I have not stolen a good set of tenants from you.
Many thanks again,
"I have been attending the Belfast Property Meet since it first established 3 years ago, it has came a long way since then and so has my experience and network as a property investor. Meeting like minded people on a regular basis motivates you to keep going and I have been able to build my network and team through the people I have met. Since then, working with Mary and Chris and along with others from the property meet we have successfully put together a partnership known as the Northern Ireland Property Partners. Collectively, we have come together with different strengths to carry out some deals. We are now on our 2nd deal, the first deal grossed over £23k profit with the second currently looking similar. From going to the Belfast property meet it has opened many doors and I have met some fantastic people and I will continue to go. Learning that you don't need loads of money to profit in property and benefiting by putting what you learn into action, your network is your net worth!"
"I have been a regular attendee at the BPM since it started 3 years ago and try to attend as many as possible. For me, the major benefit is the networking opportunity and meeting like minded property investors. Also ,before the BPM commenced I had been struggling to get my 'power team' for deals , purchases in N.Ireland and although I had done my property education in England I wasn't able to apply the strategies in N.Ireland. I now can as I have networked to build a power team and information resource her in N.Ireland.
Also, through the BPM network , I have joined a new partnership 'Northern Ireland Property partners' where investors abilities and skills are shared.
Last, but by no means least, is the wide variety of speakers, presentors BPM has had to visit belfast, most from overseas. How else would we get the opportunity to hrear these people. Their inspiration and positvity has helped to keep me focused and driven in my property career , during a period where 'doom and gloom' was the norm.
Happy 3rd Birthday BPM, cheers to continued success."

"After a very bitter experience with our first foray into the property market 8 years ago, my wife and I were naturally very reticent about getting ‘stung’ a second time. With the help of the team at Belfast property Meet, we have learned much about the current property market and after identifying what we did wrong before, have now been encouraged to go back into property investment helped by the guiding hands of Chris and his wife Mary at Property Meet. Having eventually bought our first property this year, we quickly bought a second and in the next year hope to double the size of our portfolio. I would encourage anyone interested in property investment to come along to the property Meet because every night you learn something new!"
